I really enjoyed this book The author s writing pulls you into her story, making you want to keep reading to find out what happens next Even compelling is the fact that this is about her life and her biological father s and her two sons I like Kathy like genealogy, but she had some serious searching that she did and search she did, I admire her sleuthing skills Thank you Kathy for sharing your story

    3. This book is very well written, very readable I found myself sucked in to her quest to find sheared off branches of her family tree It s also a wonderful book about being surprised by falling deliciously in same sex love.

This was a bookgroup pick, under nonfiction It was a quick read, but suffered from a journalistic presentation, and was openly confessional I could not relate to the author s fascination with genealogy, although she did a good job of setting up the mysteries to solve I left with an unclear vision of how she regarded the sacred mythology od the nuclear family, although the book makes it clear that there have been alternative family structures throughout history, and they repeat in families If you [...]

REALLY enjoyed this book Knowing some of the members of the family made the story even poignant for me Of course I realize most readers will not be in this situation, but the story is interesting whether or not one knows members of the family Definitely recommend this book to anyone searching for lost relatives.
