    2. Frankie Stein Starts School is about little Frankie Stein Starting school and everyone in his class making fun of him because he doesn t look like a monster, but, Frankie stein shows his classmates that he can be a monster even if he doesn t look like one this is a great book to teach kids not to make fun of someone just by the way they look there is to a person than the way they look or dress it is a great book to read during the Halloween season and it also has a great message behind the stor [...]

    3. A different take on teaching kids about fitting in My only real qualm is that I prefer books that teach the kids being different is okay rather that showing a child having to prove themselves in order to fit it It s a relatively unusual take on a the situation and the juxtaposition of this book vs the real world is effective Still, wouldn t it be a better book if Frankie Stein was ok no matter what It s possible I m being simplistic here or wanting the book to teach than is possible but I do wo [...]

    4. This book discusses a little boy s experience at his first day of school, where he is surrounded by creatures that look nothing like him He feels left out and different than everyone else. This book would be good for kindergarten first graders to help them cope with their experiences of their first day of school The silly pictures also would be great for this age I would read this to students at the beginning of the school year around Halloween to help explain to them that it s okay if you re dif [...]

    5. Frankie Stein gets ready to start school But as a normal looking kid, will he be able to fit in at Miss Wart s Academy for Ghouls Goblins At the risk of sounding harsh, I did not care for this story The artwork has some charming elements but doesn t quite flow to me I also think the font is comic sans I also sort of hate the idea that Frankie has to prove that he is scary instead of being accepted for who he seems to want to be I do think that kids in K 2 will really like this story While it mig [...]

    6. Remember Marilyn, the blond, normal seeming niece on The Munsters Well here s blond haired, normal seeming Frankie Stein, who look to be descendants of Herman and Lily Munster And when he goes to school, he s of course the victim of reverse discrimination by the students of Miss Wart s Academy for Ghouls and Goblins But Frankie has a trick or two up his sleeve Kids will also enjoy Frankie Stein , the first book about this monstrous young man.

    8. this is a good book to show and teach children about bullyinh and picking on other students, how its not nice and makes others feel bad, especially when you don t know them or anything about them and not to judge people before you get to know them.

    9. Frankie Stein, with his pretty face in monsterland, gets the same reaction from schoolmates as he does from his family Adjusting to school takes a little time and Frankie comes out okay.

    11. The original Frankie Stein is so cute, and this is definitely not as good The kids did enjoy it though, especially the fact that Frankie went to school at night They thought that was pretty cool.
