Fantastic Space OperaI don t read a ton of space operas, but I do have to admit that the good ones are incredibly enjoyable In case you were wondering, Eli Freysson s The War of the Usurper is definitely a great space opera, of scope and scale reminiscent of Simon R Green s Deathstalker series.The story revolves around a young monarch s quest to take back the throne stolen from her and the nine year war that results Each chapter is told at a different time in the War from a different character s [...]

    6. Like everything except the general arc No doubt about the outcome or any roadblocks whatsoever It made the book a bit predictable sadly But it was a good read.
