What I really like about Johnny Diaz s novels is that they re comfort reads Now, I ve only read his debut novel, Boston Boys Club , and I m finally reading his second release.What I really found unique about his novels so far is that he has three main characters and they are all in first person telling the story Meaning that each main character gets a chapter to tell from his point of view So unless the following chapter is with the same character, it s easy to put down the book at a certain cha [...]

I have to admit that when I started reading Miami Manhunt, I was not enjoying it The first few chapters really didn t hook me, and that is generally as far as I ll give a book I stuck it out a bit longer than I normally would and am now glad I did I love Diaz style The book is written in first person from the POV of our three main characters, best friends living in Miami It takes place over a relatively short time span, and is basically a sappy love story perfect for a big ole sap like me I woul [...]

    3. Simply did not find this interesting, and as a gay man I am always on the look out for books by gay authors,racy, funny and smart, don t get it, and unfortunately I could easily put it down, and in fact forget about it.
