    2. The author kindly supplied an e book copy of this story for an honest, non reciprocal review It is with a heavy heart that I fulfill my part of the bargain Others reviewers have raved about the story, so my disappointment is due to my background in religion and philosophy, and my studies efforts in fiction writing The Priest Whisperer is not a novel in the traditional sense of storytelling There are no external conflicts, antagonists, plot, subplot, story arcs, etc It does not fall in the litera [...]

    3. George is a pastor who lives for the simple, Pennsylvania life One morning, as he s sitting on his front porch and talking to God, George is granted an unusual vision about the reality around us As he slips deeper into the vision, George is guided by a strangely familiar inner voice This voice sends him on a journey beyond the imagination one full of self discovery and the realization that things are much bigger than they appear I greatly enjoyed this book It s written in a journalistic style, w [...]

    4. Don t be surprised this book is short story than anything else At only 17 pages, I m not sure it even qualifies as that Still, do not let that put you off buying or reading it In those 17 pages Emunds asks and attempts to answer, through his character George, the biggest question of them all Who am I I realise the author is coming at this from a Christian perspective, but I think that s totally irrelevant as the answers he proffers are equally applicable to the Christian or non Christian world [...]

    5. I was not quite sure how to take this book It seemed like a story of one mans life and how he found spirituality, but I found as I read on, it was almost as if the story was speaking directly to me I don t want to label it as a self help book, because I believe it is much deeper than that, it s of a spiritual book, a guidance to look deep into yourself and try and find what makes you feel complete.

I received a copy of this short story in exchange for an honest review You can view the original review atGenuine Jenn I have found myself reading inspirational religious books lately as I have been on a journey over the past year to find myself and find peace within This little short story touches that question of Who am I Have we looked at ourselves or should I say within ourselves to see who we really are Instead of what we do I am a mother, a daughter, a support worker, a reader, a blogger [...]

    8. This is a novella that presents some weighty ideas I enjoyed the analogy in the beginning, in which our narrator mentions how he is always thinking about the future, and compares it to riding a train that s barreling through beautiful landscapes There s never time to stop and enjoy the scenery because he s too focused on the destination I felt like this was a clever way of stressing the idea that we need to enjoy the here and now, and it was something to which I could instantly relate. But from t [...]

    9. I don t get itWhen I received this work, the author presented it as a work of non fiction, but to make it interesting, he d wrapped it in fiction He stated that the story was a catalyst for the content Apparently I don t understand what that means It s not a work of non fiction because it isn t presented with any of the trappings of non fiction, like facts or descriptions of verified historical events, and it s not a fiction story because it lacks any of the necessary elements of a fiction stor [...]

    10. The Priest Whisperer is a quick read Filled with a lot of religious symbolism, this novella aims to describe moments of clarity and realization for Christians I wasn t quite sure how to read or understand any of it, as I am not a religious person myself, but I think I get the gist of it It s written in an interesting style and it has decent descriptive prose It would be a good read for the spiritual people out there
