    1. Minerva Ferguson had such a bad day with teaching both her supervisor s and her classes that she didn t have time for her research and writing on military history Yesterday, one of her silly students tossed water on her shirt and she was sick of her boss taking credit for her work and holding up graduating for two years, but what choice did she have as she thought no one would believe her over Dr Peabody Years ago after her dad died, she had learned to play along with her mom s desires and not s [...]

    2. I loved this book by this new author This book starts this new trilogy with a bang and I have already purchased the next book The book involves time travel, takes place at the beginning of the revolutionary war, 2 quirky muses, an adorable historian, and a vulnerable alpha male I laughed, I cried, and I rolled my eyes I felt transported to this time and the ending definitely did not disappoint.

    3. I guess it s like 3,5 stars than 3 I liked the story, especially I liked Will and Paul a lot Oh, I would like to know about Paul. This was quite well written and the story line was interesting. The only problem that I had was Erva and it lowered the rating I felt that she was just too perfect She seemed to be good in everything she did and I didn t like it I found her a bit selfish too, yes, I could understand why she wanted Will to resign, but there was other things she did said that made her s [...]

    4. It s not about whether the book is historically factual, but about the storyline What an amazing way to check out history, and to find oneself Hilarious in some places, thought provoking in others One of the most intriguing time travel tales I have read.

    5. This review originally appeared on So You Want to Read a Romance Novel. The Captain s Review Warning Content from the book is mentioned here, although not necessarily spoiler worthy Time travel romance is an interesting genre The actual science magic trickery used to achieve such an effect cannot be hand waved away I thought the explanation for how and why our modern day heroine, Minerva Erva Ferguson, has suddenly found herself back in 1776 was quite unique While such a thing as time travel requ [...]

    6. As a lover of many time travel novels, I enjoyed this book It was well researched and was an enjoyable story It has humor, suspense and romance It s the story of a beautiful Harvard trained historian stuck in her career because she won t stand up for herself Her doctoral dissertation, which hasn t been approved, focuses on the American Revolution In this glimpse, she is sent back to really get to know the general she has written about What really took away from the quality of the storyline was t [...]

    7. I love time travel romances This is my first by this author and my first involving the American Revolution I thoroughly enjoyed reading about the time period and the way the author cleverly wove it through the story Actually, there are so many aspects about this book to admire and enjoy The development of the two main characters was perfectly timed and beautifully fulfilled The secondary characters were not just thrown in, but added depth to the storyline The storyline could have been weighed do [...]

    8. Enemy of Mine was the first time I have read a book by Ms Jameson What drew me to the book was the time travel story line I m not one for historical books but I was pleasantly surprised by this story It is a very detailed story so be prepared to hunker down and be involved with this book while you are reading The characters of Will and Minerva or Erva as she prefers to be known are very deep Will is from the past and his character has much to offer Erva, who is from the future.Erva is a very str [...]

    9. I was lucky enough to get an advanced copy of this book to review and from the first pages I was hooked I loved the zany muses, I loved the strong but emotionally insecure hero I found the heroine s inner conflicts very believable I was caught up in the vivid portrayal of life during the American War of Independence Everything about this book worked and I was hanging on to my seat waiting to find out how the HEA was going to be achieved It was, I m pleased to say, and I was left with a lovely fe [...]

    10. Good and entertaining Having the muses give glimpses to some people, and thus be the science behind the time travel, made for quite a funny and different take on this kind of story Those two were just great Will was a very endearing hero His actions towards Erva, his family and his subordinates, and his bumbling ways all worked to show his real nature I loved how he got sidetracked by his attraction to Erva She was somewhat harder to decipher At times she seemed too good at everything she did At [...]

    11. I thought Jameson was making it too easy on herself, the time travelling by muses was just not my thing, I want a well thought out idea, something a little bit creative, something that gives you the idea that maybe it could be really possible to time travel Not two magical bimbo s who wave their hand a bit and BOOM your there The ending was almost worse then the beginning, view spoiler in two days the historical hero learned everything he needed to know to live in the 21st century, got himself [...]

    12. This is a wonderful time travel romance that dumps you into the American Revolutionary War The muse sisters are quite entertaining and truly seem to want to help Erva s been studying Will for some time, but from the distance of a couple hundred years Being dropped into his home comes as a shock to both of them While she knows Will will soon die, she can t resist her growing feelings for the handsome officer Will is a sweet, troubled hero whose past makes him reluctant to risk loving anyone, let [...]

    13. This book has earned five stars It was well written, with enough romance, suspence and humour The story line was very original and refreshing and for a romance novel it was far from clich I really enjoyed reading this book, it had me hooked from the very begining and it was hard not to fall in love with the hero He is sweet, thoughtful and a gentleman above all else which is the new sexy in my opinion. The heroine is a feisty one with just enough of vulnerability that makes her real, not like one [...]

    14. I definitely enjoyed this book I loved the idea of time travelling in both directions Love is strong enough to make it through time The forward thinking of an 18th century General in accepting what most people would shy away from was interesting I fell in love with General Hill and all of his gentleness, tenderness, respectfulness, and even his self deprecation Minerva Erva quickly accepted her situation and believed the Muses, then quickly fell in love with the General and helped him work out h [...]

    15. LOVE I had my reservations starting, but I quickly became besotted, unable to put the book down So sweet, and easy romance.A woman of the 21st century unable to find love is sent back to 1776, where she meets a general of the British army Her goal was to learn everything she could of her historical hero, and learns that most of what she knows isn t true, but falling in love is out of the question Right Well, maybe if she can just change a little history.
