I listened to this author speak at the Calumet Public Library in Calumet Michigan setting of the book and during her talk, she mentioned that she had hurried to get the book out on time for the centennial of The Strike which is the book s topic That hurry shows in her writing While I enjoyed Carol s characters and could picture them as real people , I found several mistakes throughout the book One being the time frames and the passage of time in the beginning, she sets the story in the summer of [...]
