The title is parodic at this point Although I recalled these images from when they were initially published in WIRED ca 1995 97 as multi page manifesto cum editorials, I find them musty and old fashioned looking already just a decade later For design that was, at the time, way out in front of the pack John Plunkett and Barbara Kuhr had access to six color presses and neon ink, not to mention the best software and hardware Silicon Valley could muster it looks v v tired about now, and the postmode [...]

I m not quiet sure why I bought this it s compelling design pornography, I guess Mind Grenades is the published collection of the front four page graphic spreads that appear in Wired magazine These little tidbits are often my favourite part of Wired beautiful, garish, indulgent, interesting I m glad they ve been reproduced in high quality It s the kind of book I ll be really glad to own twenty years from now.
